March 30, 2011 in London, the Royal Albert Hall gala concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Mikhail Gorbachev.
Prominent artists from around the world will participate in this great event in honor of "the person who changed the world" and ended the Cold War.
Accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra under Valery Gergiev will feature classical works performed by pianist Andrei Gavrilov, Dmitri Hvorostovsky and singers Katherine Jenkins. Sound and modern music performed by the "Scorpions", Andrei Makarevich, Shirley Basie, Igor steep and Lara Fabian, Melanie C and Bryan Ferry and Paul Anka. The concert will feature: George Michael Khor Turkish, as well as soloists of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theatres.
As part of the concert the prize awarding ceremony "The people who changed the world" a unique award was presented by Mikhail Gorbachev. The first prize winner will be the prominent figures of our time, whose contribution to the development of the international community should be appreciated.
