LOGI CLIPP
ABOUT
Logi Clipp is a concept for a Portable super friendly WEBCAM for the new age users demanding portability and ease of use.
The idea behind this project is supported by a design philosophy called "FAMILIARISM" , A term coined by NICHOLAS BAKER where he describes it as the combination of a familiar interaction with an incongruous object in the effort to create a more unique experience.
This is a personal project and has no co-relation towards the brand LOGITECH neither its a promotion, the branding just felt right with the products purpose and that was my only intention to use it.
IDEOLOGY
THE CONCEPT CROSSED MY MIND FOR A BIWEEKLY PROMPT I FOUND OUT AND I THOUGHT OF MAKING A VERY QUICK CONCEPTUAL WEBCAM. THE FORM PLAYS A VERY BASIC ROLE INSPIRED FROM A CLOTH PEG WHICH CLIPS ON AND OFF EASILY.
SKETCH ITERATIONS
BASIC PROTOTYPING AND PROOF OF CONCEPT
MADE SOME VERY BASIC PAPER CUT-OUTS , STUCK THEM ON A PEG THAT WAS LYING AROUND THE HOUSE TO SEE ERGONOMICAL FEASIBILITY AND SCALE.
Out of all the quick iterations the liked the first one, which has a nice unibody structure and the upper area has a flat surface for the thumb to interact.
