A Book born of Architecture
A-Residence residential area is a club-style residence located on Balchug man-made island. The individual architecture in harmony with the classical housing of Zamoskvorechye area and tranquility of a private residence coexist with vibrant downtown life. The agency team received a request from RWB company to develop the project book.
The idea of the printed material was an important part of the luxury complex presentation, so we tried to make the book resemble the residential area itself. When creating the cover, we used thick calandered paper and mixed printing techniques, with only two colors to be used: bronze Pantone for the logo and silver for the rest of the graphics.
The book's flyleaf is designed as a pattern resembling the living area’s architectural fragments, which involuntarily immerses a reader into an intricate, non-standard geometry. The page frame is printed on a smooth enamel-paper.
The designer’s solution was to furnish the printing frame midpoint with a corrugated section depicting popular and notable locations of Zamoskvorechye area, such as the Muzeon Park, Tretyakov gallery, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and others. Besides, the book represents a balanced combination of drawings and renderings of commercial and residential premises interior solution – intertwined with the pattern.
