Gluttony is one of the cardinal sin. Biblically, it referred  over-indulgence of food, drink, or wealth items . The man of the 21st century has gone beyond the over-consumption of food and drink.There is one thing that all of us are guilty of over-indulging into.

We all consume data through various medium throughout the day. Not all of it for the sake of knowledge. There is abundance of Data and information. Data which can be misleading. Information which can have privacy issues. But the world is obsessed with its consumption. People spend hours and hours scrolling into the abyss as if they are being engulfed by the data.

​

The installation was an attempt to give form to this gluttonous monster which thrives on data consumption and engulfs you  into it without you even noticing it.

 

 

The installation stands on a base of 8m X 6m and rises upto a height of 16m (4 storey building)

Material Used - Collected from dump yards and waste bins around the campus, having mostly newspaper and waste cloth.

Duration - 36 Hours

 

Presented as the entry for NID Gandhinagar Campus for Monsoon Fiesta (Annual Cultural Event) - 2018
