Final project in college (for masters degree diploma) with the theme 'self-folding electric bicycle for older people and commuters'. Two parts; initial research on bicycles included history, market, trends, technologies (below are extracts from the 20-so pages print version) and the proposed solution.

The folding bicycle has an inner axle with an electric motor that both assists pedaling and folds the bike with the switch of a button, by bringing the front and rear frame parts together; the user only has to hold the handle.
