My initial brief was to develop a logo for the indie band 'Dust In The Sunlight'.
I started by designing a simple typographical piece that the group loved. This prompted further work where I was able to design the covers for their first two singles and EP, each with their own mood and character.
For this, I began by creating a moodboard of various photography and illustrations of sunlight. I became fascinated in how sunlight develops and changes through a given day and how this could be reflected in the logo.
The final logo design embraces transparency as a key element. By incorporating numerous textured layers, the logo takes on different dimensions when placed against various backgrounds. This adaptability allows it to seamlessly blend into scenes while revealing unique parts of the logo depending on what it's placed on.
