Sangushkos Palace

The Sangushko princes palace is a baroque building, part of an architectural complex located in the center of the city of Izyaslav (Ukraine).

It was built in the 18th century on the initiative of Princess Barbara Sangushko

Since the end of the 19th century, the palace was in Russian hands (at that time it underwent significant restructuring that changed its appearance). Used by Soviet troops until the 1970s. Now the palace is abandoned and in a state of ruin.

After the sale of the castle complex to the Russian authorities, art collections and palace decorations were taken out. The archive, some of the furniture and paintings ended up in Slavuta. The rest of the furniture, a collection of portraits, and luxurious crystal chandeliers were transferred to Antoniny.
