In 2018, I volunteered for Book Dash - an event where teams of writers, designers and illustrators create an entire children's book in 12 hours
The books are distributed for free and are often translated into other languages, so I kept the backgrounds very bright and quite plain to accommodate the space needed for translations
The books aim to be inclusive, as most children's books often depict white, cis-gendered characters
Let's have an Inside Day was featured in Edition 159 of the Nal'ibali multilingual reading supplement that distributed an additional 100 000 copies directly to communities across South Africa
