In 2020, the Portuguese author, Kinha Costa asked me to illustrate her latest book about a boy cat, named Iuno, that loves to wear dresses
I used digital oil painting and pencil brushes to create the fluffy feel of the cats' fur
The backgrounds have some detail but are mostly kept simple and light in order not to distract from the story the characters are telling
The book is published in both English and Portuguese
