Blue Ragdoll Cat Silkscreen Shirt Design (Spring 2020)

A multi-color t-shirt design I made for my silkscreen class! Featuring drawings I made of a blue ragdoll cat.
My idea was to fill up a square space with the cat in different positions and poses. I sketched these in my free time over the course of a few days and added some pink outlines for fun!
Here are the drawings after I scanned them in and refined them in Photoshop! In this image I used a brown for parts of the fur, but in the final version I decided to go with black due to time constraints.
(Left) Light table- this is what screens are put on to expose them to light, so that the design allows ink to come through onto the fabric.
(Right) Film positives- I lined them all up on top of each other so I could make sure my registration marks would work when printing! This is also a good example of how the printer interprets different opacity (the dot pattern on the tails & face).
Close up shot to showcase the blue and pink.
