Using SideFX Houdini's modeling and simulation tools, I set out to capture the severity of the famous phrase "one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch".

Since spoiling fruit takes time, I opted to go for a time-lapse to show the rotting process, adding a few camera bumps and highlighting natural mistakes that happen when done with a camera.

For the mood and lighting, I focused on a style heavily inspired by Dutch still life paintings that could feel both timeless and classic.
