Whilst undertaking my masters thesis i was asked to tutor two groups of first year architecture students in SARC111 Introduction to Architecture : Flexible Structure. The brief for the students was to create a small piece of architecture which could function as a study space and then be transformed into a bar space or cafe. Most of the students focussed on the juxtaposition between these two programmes, for example sheltered vs exposed, quiet vs loud, small vs large. Below is a number of the top students work from these two groups.
