Develop a poster around a current cultural movement/topic in today's society.
Analysis
for the hero image, I decided to use alien eyes, as it is the most recognisable symbol for aliens.
I used a triangle for the background as I thought it would create an interesting shape paired with the eyes. Also when designing this I linked it the Bermuda triangle conspiracy theories, and how after all the debates and theories surrounding the issue, it’s still a big mystery. Much like the notion of whether UFO’s are real or just something that the media has concocted to gain attention and relevancy.
I then draw out an outline of the mountains behind Area 51 and combined the line with the triangle to create a more unique shape.
I included the UFO since it’s relates it back with 1952 Washington DC and how it was the original influence that led up to the speculation about what Area 51 is hiding from us. Also it’s another well-known symbol that represents the Alien society and culture.
I used the galaxy photograph as the background for my triangle since most of what is undiscovered and still a mystery to us all is in space. I also thought it would make the overall design more aesthetically pleasing.
