MEV - Modular emergency vehicle
This was a group project made within the masters in product design second semester at FAUL for the 2019-2020 class of product and service design I
The brief was free and we decided to approach the urban emergency rescue specifically in Lisbon due to its small streets, difficult places to reach and dense traffic.
This concept is, in essence, a modular autonomous vehicle that fits between the quick response cars and the traditional ambulances. The idea was to create a vehicle with the best of both worlds (compact and agile and quick as the quick response vehicles and also to have the full equipment necessary to rescue and transport the patient as a traditional ambulance) all of this in a medium package that would work better in an urban context like Lisbon.
