Pollen: The Native Bee Neighbourhood

How much do you know about native bees?
What can we do to help?
Presenting: Pollen - The Native Bee Neighbourhood
This modular native habitat has been designed to support native bee populations, even in urban areas where space is limited.
The modular system can be configured to fit seamlessly into any space
Parts can be purchased in a set, or individually as needed and require no extraneous fixtures for assembly.
Optional Planter is available, to provide forage for the bees in the form of native flowering plants. Planter is easy to mount and nestles hidden behind the assembled modules.
Removable elements allow nests to be seen within transparent tubes, without disturbing the bees. Due to their non-aggressive nature, it is possible to spend time in close proximity with native bees and their nests without fear of being stung.
Nesting materials sit on a slight angle inside the modules to ensure dust and water do not get trapped in the nests.
Comprehensive information booklet provides step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the Bee Neighbourhood, as well as valuable information about how to identify native bees and understand their behaviour. The booklet also provides information about how contribute valuable data to citizen science projects, which assists scientists who are researching these crucial but understudied insects.
