As the Global Principal Partner of Tottenham Hotspur, AIA has supported the presence of Spurs coaches across Asia since 2017 and now, during a time when group sport and travel has been on hold due to COVID-19, they have taken International Development Coaches Shaun Harris’s and Anton Blackwood’s ‘Skills and Drills’ and given them an animated makeover.
The Challenge
We were tasked with using animation to create an instructional video campaign in place of the usual live-action training videos. The target audience was key AIA markets in the APAC region; those wanting to develop their football skills individually or able to practice in groups.

Our Solution
Working closely with the Spurs coaches, we partnered with CSM to produce a video campaign consisting of four videos, each presenting a different football skill. Using a motion comic approach with animated coaches, we were able to create a step-by-step walkthrough of each move, followed by footage from recent Spurs games to demonstrate each move in real-time.
