When starting work on a particular project, I always try to find a consensus between the established techniques and "customs" in the shaping of furniture and my internal ideas of ideal proportions and shapes.
In this project, it was im
portant for me to work out the areas of the back and seats with which a person directly contacts in a sitting position and also to think out scenarios of chair behavior in different locations, regardless of their purpose.  This chair, it seems to me, can equally well be inscribed both in a public interior (cafes, restaurants) and in a residential unit.
