Green Airport Aerostar & Hugo Neu

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico officials, along with partners of Hugo Neu Environmental,  joined in an initiative that promoted public awareness of the importance of recycling in Puerto Rico. "Green Airport" recycling program is a project that aims to recycle 40 percent of the waste generated by more than 7 million passengers, employees, and visitors of the airport who use the facilities every year.

By placing recycling containers in all areas, posters, and signages with essential data and messages, they sought to raise public awareness so that people pay attention to the problem of waste.

Within the premises for the design, the corporate image of the two companies should have the same importance and presence and maintain a clean and international design.

A color palette was created based on the branding of the two companies.

Listen to the coquí
Design of Caribbean Business newspaper special insert publication about the economy of recycling in Puerto Rico.

The coquí, a type of frog native to Puerto Rico, named for the characteristic sound produced by the males of the species, is considered a kind of national emblem in the popular imagination. The urgency to raise awareness about the coquíes and to preserve their habitat was the inspiration for the cover of the supplement.
