Feather Earrings

Having the opportunity to design earrings with limited constraints on the brief is a challenge in itself. Turning back to what inspires most of my work - Nature - has generated my feather earrings. Natures symmetry and structure has sparked my desire to create my earrings inspired by the peacocks feathers.
Nature is a huge inspiration in the process of the creation of the earring's, in relation to natures structure and colouring. A peacocks feather structure is designed so complex that it is difficult to recreate it completely, but highlighting its significant element is equally impactful in show casing its beauty.

The feathers of a peacock is structured to support its weight and position. It is structured to produce its intricate pattern with its thin films which reflects the light hitting its surfaces. The lights wavelengths creates the peacocks irredecent colouring. This structure is seen in this jewellery through its curved lined patterns in its most simplest and elegant form.
