Digital Product Design | 2016

Client: Financial Times
Agency: Red Badger
Role: Digital Product Designer

FT was aware that the nature of online news has been changing fast. So they teamed up with Red Badger to improve and create lasting change in their digital platform. As part of this transformation, my job was to act as a champion of agile design and lean UX methodologies and best practices at an enterprise level. For this project, I worked with existing cross-functional FT teams in day-to-day delivery, as well as with stakeholders across the business through collaborative design. My aim was to deliver visual solutions for diverse user needs. I focused on myFT, a subscription-based online product that provided users to tailored exclusive content for their interests and reading habits.
As part of a product team, we delivered dashboards, newsfeeds, subscription barriers, and more granular design elements, such as newsletter banners. The complexity of a company structure at this scale brings its own opportunities and challenges. Thanks to this complexity, this project was a very successful case study in establishing an ever-growing design system.
