Established in 1986 by the Texas General Land Office, Adopt-A-Beach is an
all-volunteer state effort dedicated to preserving and protecting Texas beaches. The program's success is due to the generous support of dedicated volunteer county coordinators, coastal community leaders, sponsors and citizens.
For the 2020 Cleanup Campaign, two infographic posters were created to educate Texan citizens about the source and amount of debris in Texas beaches. Through these graphics, public awareness was raised in counties across the state and volunteers were called to action. The design style of these posters were intended to be clean, minimal and user-friendly by displaying statistic information in a ways viewers can digest it easily.
